It's time to deep-clean your entire home. If you're not certain where to commence, start with these tried-and-true cleaning tips. Room by room or one small appliance at a time, until everything is free of grime, mildew, dust, and whatever else makes it seem and feel dirty. After everything is said and done, your kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and every other area in your house will appear brand new.
Clean up after yourself and invite the rest of your family to join in and assist.
Cleaning is more thorough once a week. Stains on the refrigerator, handprints on the walls, cobwebs, dirty floors, hazy mirrors and windows, lint and grime on the carpet, a ring around the bathtub's edges, a toilet that doesn't look its best, and so on. Clean under the mattresses, dust the beds and change the sheets.
This is the time to get your hands dirty. This is the most extensive task and may take several days, so divide your home into pieces.
