Categories Exempted from Paying the Germany Short Stay Visa Fee

The following classes are exempted from paying the visa processing fee when applying for a short-stay Germany visa:

  • Children below the age of six
  • Spouse, same-sex companion in a civil union and minor single children of German nationals, the parents of minor German nationals and household members of EU or EEA citizens
  • School apprentices, students, postgrads and associated teaching staff
